    Fabulous

This hotel is well situated for access to the south entrance to the "Yellow Mountains". The hotel runs a shuttle bus (RMB 5 p.p) to the bus which takes one to the Yungu Cable Station. On our return from the mountain, we requested the bus driver to drop us off at the hotel as the hotel is right on the bus route. Make sure you have the hotel name and address in Chinese .... The hotel stored our luggage at no charge overnight as we stayed on top of the mountain for one night. There is a small provisions shop at the hotel and all the items are extremely well priced - e.g. the local beers were only RMB 5 each.

The reception staff do speak passable English but are a little surly. There were some strange packages in the bathroom - we thought they were the standard hotel issue - we opened a couple of them to satisfy our curiosity only to find a pair of pink socks, a pair of mens underpants and a compressed towel which when soaked in water turned into a largish hand towel. On check out we were charged RMB 40 for the stash ...

    Superb

Staff: very friendly and helpful, level of English not exceptional, but OK. Location: ideal location to start climbing the Yellow Mountains.

    Fabulous

We booked a Luxe Twins room and we are a family of 2 adults and 3 children (age: 6 - 4 - 18 months). We had our own baby cot. The decoration of the room was very nice and comfortable.

The personnel could not speak english at all. Except one person at the reception. At the restaurant, the menu is in chinese without picture. There is an old menu in english / chinese but with very limited choice. However the food was good. The buffet for the breakfast was fine.

    Good

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights of 10 & 11 Dec, service was excellent as the staff who took our order listened intently and gave her recommendation as close as possible to our taste preference. Thumbs up also to the hotel shop which we purchased the hiking sticks and other stuff, the gentleman minding this shop is a very nice chap. Also prices at the shop is very reasonable unlike other hotel shops.

We had buffet breakfast on 11 Dec but set breakfast on 12 Dec due to lower occupancy. Perhaps a semi buffet spread of fruits, juices, danish & bread, coffee & tea can be laid out with hot items cooked to order. Otherwise it is too long a wait if we are climbing Huangshan that morning. Generally the staff at front desk are good except for one young lady who needs improvement. Also during housekeeping, they forgot to make up my bed on 11 dec maybe because I am generally neat & propped up my pillows so they thought it was it was cleaned up already? Overall, a comfortable stay!
